What this blog is... Intro

So I am thinking this blog is a somewhat unique idea. It came to me one day at work. I currently write a blog having to do with language, since I am very interested in linguistics. But that type of blog has a very limited audience, so I was trying to think of one that would have a slightly wider appeal. So eventually, this one entered my mind.
The concept of this blog is quite apparent by its title, but I'll elaborate a little. I considered starting a top 10 list, but due to its high cliche, I decided to go to the next level and make it a top 11 list. This upgrade also shows that I did my research with each entry. So many top 10 lists exist that I would not find much difficulty in just copying from another list if I did only the top 10.
Some of these top 11 lists will be just my personal opinion, but most of them will be conclusions drawn from my own research and the research of others. You will find an explanation for my conclusions at the bottom of each post. Hope you enjoy it! -ajpolyglot
